Armstrong Strategic Insights Group, LLC, or ASIG, is a ) specializes on the issues affecting U.S. public diplomacy, strategic communication, global engagement, or whatever you or your organization labels communication and engagement with relevant audiences around the world.
Led by Matt Armstrong, publically known as the publisher of the blog www.MountainRunner.us, ASIG is a non-partisan consultancy that assists its clients in understanding the modern information, physical, legislative, and interagency environment in order to be more effective. ASIG does this through analysis, commentary, participating in and facilitating discussions, conferences, symposia, and training on relevant subjects, the vast majority of which does not appear on the MountainRunner blog.
ASIG is uniquely positioned to actively engage across the U.S. government, including the different elements of the executive and the legislative branches of government, non-governmental organizations, other consultancies, academia, and overseas equivalents. In fact, we are actively engaged with these entities on a nearly daily basis.
ASIG was created to provide clients an flexible pathway to engage a broad network of research and researchers, academics and practitioners, and other resources to provide the necessary support.
As important it is to describe what ASIG does, it is important to say what ASIG does not: we are not a tactical messaging firm. We focus on the conceptual and strategic and, to borrow a military term, the operational levels that shape purpose and intent. These in turn shape and are shaped by authorities, capacities, and capabilities.
