Call for Papers: Journal of Strategic Security

The Journal of Strategic Security (JSS), a publication of Henley-Putnam University, seeks manuscripts for the Summer 2011 (Vol. 5, No. 2) issue on the effects – if any – of the Arab Spring on strategic security around the globe.

For this issue of JSS, we welcome manuscripts that offer strategic insights about the nature and mechanisms of these uprisings and their possible implications for security in the region. Analyses might address, among others, issues such as:
• Successful and unsuccessful tactics of resistance and state suppression and how those lessons might or might not affect future government opposition movements;
• Positive and negative effects of uprisings and regime changes for the region’s stability and for geopolitical security;
• How the concepts of democracy and rule-of-law might be adapted to fit within the human socio-cultural geography of the Arab world;
• Implications of, and for, WMD proliferation on regional security in the wake of the Arab Spring.

The Journal looks forward to receiving submissions by the March 15, 2012 deadline.

Proposals and inquiries are welcome. Please contact: editor@henley-putnam.edu for more information.
